Robotic rehabilitation therapy, implemented in our hospital, is a highly effective physical therapy method implemented with the help of a robotic device, particularly for the purpose of regaining walking skills or improving walking in patients with gait disorders.
In addition to rehabilitation practices used in neurological disease rehabilitation, advanced treatment options are also available when new technological approaches, including robotic rehabilitation, are used.
Patients for which the Robotic Rehabilitation System is Suitable
Hemiplegic patients - Stroke
Patients with spinal cord injuries
Cerebral Palsy

Robotic Rehabilitation Application
The patient is suspended on a treadmill, positioned upright, and connected to the robot. The degree to which the device will reduce body weight and how much support the device will provide for walking is determined by the physical therapist after an examination. In robotic walking systems, the patient walks on a treadmill according to a natural walking pattern. Sensors mounted on the patient's hips and knees evaluate the body's response to movement and transmit the problem to a computer. When the patient deviates from their normal walking pattern, the robot automatically corrects the gait.
Which Patients Cannot Use Robot-Assisted Walking Therapy?
This treatment is not suitable for patients with joint contractures/deformities, severe osteoporosis, open skin lesions, shoulder subluxation (dislocation), advanced spasticity (involuntary contractions), severely abnormal reflexes, severe pulmonary (respiratory) and cardiovascular (cardiovascular) disorders, severe posture disorders, cognitive impairment, infections requiring isolation, and vision loss.
